Where were you born specifically?

I was born at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

When did you move to Guthrie?

I moved to Guthrie from OKC about 15 years ago with my mom and dad.

What's your favorite Guthrie-related memory?

This is such a great question! I have so many fantastic memories in Guthrie only because of the many fantastic people within Guthrie. One memory that stands out the most is when my mom and I would take trips into town, walk into Hoboken Coffee Roasters, order from one of the amazing barista's, sit down and talk about life with a coffee in hand. This memory is near and dear to my heart because I got to live it with my mom in a place called home.

What's the best part about living in Guthrie?

The best part is the people! Never could I have ever imagine being a part of such a thriving, beautiful, enriching community as Guthrie.

What does Guthrie have that other towns don't?

Unlike most towns and even cites, Guthrie has a charm that makes you feel safe and noticed. Guthrie is a place to come when you want fellowship and unity. To the brick streets, the quaint antique stores, the amazing drive-in movie theater and the best coffee shop in the world (Hoboken Coffee Roaster, which I'm pleased to say I get to be a part of its wonderful team of barista) all of which truly makes you feel at home.

Where do you currently work and how long?

I currently work as a barista at Hoboken Coffee Roaster. Hoboken has a been a place in which I've called home for a little over 2 years now and have loved every moment of it..

What do you love most about your job?

One of the things I've loved the most about working at Hoboken is getting to know the people, who chose to walk through the Hoboken doors, by hearing their stories. I've also had the extraordinary privilege in meeting some of my best friends within the Hoboken walls. It's a place I am blessed to say that has helped create preciouse memories and moments with both my parents. I love working there because I get to make people’s days happier and serve amazing coffee, which I'm convinced is blessed by the Lord himself! I also love how I can say I get to make some sick latte art and present a pretty drink that adds a smile to smeones day.

Do you have family here?

My grandparents, Andy and Mirtle Green both lived in Guthrie pretty much their entire lives. I usually can mention their names to any of the locals and they can remember something about them and how my grandfather was always trading something with someone - haha. Their daughter, my mother Sherri Green grew up going to Guthrie high school. She moved away and then later met my dad. My dad and I still live in Guthrie today.

How did you first hear or learn about the GuthrieAmerica brand?

When in the proccess of getting to know people at Hoboken there would be a man who would walk in excitedly and was greeted by everyone. His energy was contagious and always greeted me with a nuckle bump and a big smile asking me how my day was. This wonderful, joyfull man is the reason I heard about GuthrieAmerica and his name is Heady Coleman. Thanks agian Heady for always cultivating an atmosphere of joy!

What are your favorite things to do in Guthrie?

Drinking coffee at Hoboken, of course, spending time with friends, walking around taking photos, admiring the cute shops and their owners and enjoying all the wonderful festivals and block parties Guthrie is so good at throwing.

How would you define what it means when you hear or say COMMUNITY WINS?

I would say COMMUNITY WINS means unification. I see that as building people up with words of encouragement and understanding the callings the Lord has placed within the lives of those around you. We are meant to live, move and be within the fullness of Christ. We are called to love on people. Without this there wouldn't be a community at all.

Anything significant about your life you would like to share?

Another passion of mine besides coffee is photography. I have been fortunate enough to have my own business for 2 years now and I absolutly thrive off of it. Thankfully, I have parents who support my passion. Before I graduated college though, my dad and I experienced an event that changed both our lives. My mother experienced a sudden heart-attack on October 21st of 2015.

She continuousely spoke value in my life and I will forever be grateful for her love. God has been so good to me and has encouraged me to pursue the calling He gave me.
